3 days, 3 locations

Working remotely outside of the office is a bless. Scientifically it’s proven that traveling is good for your spirit and health. This is one of the best addictions in life (coffee can be pretty good too), packing up and going on a trip brings you extra emotions which can make you happy. Our company’s policy is to be mobile; you can read a lot about our meetings and trips outside of the office. We combine work with travelling and nature. We go into the wild forest, but we also go to big European cities. Diversity is what always helped us to stay focused on real knowledge and creativity.

Rooftop terrace “office” in Spain 🙂

In May we attended to a management trip to Barcelona. We all flew to that big, crowded Spanish city and draw out from that place as soon as we could. If you ever think to visit Barcelona’s area, just drive a few KMs away from the city and you will find treasures you’ve never seen before. This was a very good example of understanding the concept of seeking for authentic places in the world. Instead of staying in an overpopulated city, commercialized in every sense of the world, you jump into a car and you will find real Spanish goodies. Nice, small villages, cozy hotels, tasty foods and beautiful places.

Location #1: Monserrat…going up to the top of the mountain to visit the Montserrat Monastery

If you are our regular customer, we might have mentioned to you that lately Autofactor works hard to turn the everyday work into structural processes and workflows. Every company and team have an organizational growing and transformation. There are different phases of evolving as a company, if you are demanding you pay attention to your organization. These transformation moments are key moments in a company’s lifecycle. If you miss to pay attention to these, you can fail at some phases of your team’s evolution. Setting up the right direction of perspectives, putting down the basis of products and defining the proper processes for customer services will crystalize our company’s future.

Pondering on the beauty of Monserrat…guys the “boss” is waiting for you, I would start worrying if I were you

This trip was about to improve and finalize our quotation routines. You probably observed that lately you received a more detailed and structure price offer from Autofactor. Additional explanation and knowledge were provided with the estimated effort, deadline was set for quotation’s validity. These improvements are helping both of us, it’s a “help me to help you” situation. Products are changing, future features are significantly influencing the software. If you as a customer do not approve a feature implementation, in several weeks or months that might require totally different implementation plan and execution time. We want to thank you up front for your understanding.

Some of us are working, some of us are fixing the car, and a few of us are ready to travel

This trip was about double checking and reflecting the flow charts settled down a few months ago in our CRM system. We covered all our workflows with a flow chart reflecting every step of the work required. Rules can guide you through the jungle. This is another big improvement we managed to infiltrate in our organization. Forecasting helps us to have better implementation planning. If you ask us now by when we could do something on your product, in a few days we will be able to come back to you with a plan what to expect by when. Planning and budgeting can do magic to your business. Trust us! We just tried it out 🙂

Location #2: Tarragona/Vila-cosa. The guys are looking for the sun, keep walking…you might find it

This trip was about to discuss the details of a service level agreement (SLA) so further changes and improvements will follow in our supporting services. The maintenance of existing products defines a core part of Autofactor businesses. Continuous improvements on this part of customer services is crucial on long term. You can always reach out through our Support Portal, there is always someone from management part who can help you out. The development team is behind the screens, new rules will turn this collaboration into something more smooth, productive and reactive.

Location #3: Salou where we found the sun 🙂

Many other smaller stuffs were on the plate during these 3 days. We continue to work on keeping you updated with everything happening inside Autofactor. Further details will be showing up in the next months combined with routines and improvement actions. Thank you for staying our customer also in this transition phase. We might even end up together drinking a good glace of wine somewhere in Spain or in Europe. Don’t forget, travelling is good for your soul.
